5 Star Rating   September 23rd, 2018   Great all around!
A wonderful park and campground less than 2hrs from Minneapolis! The campgrounds were nicely separated from each other by trees, so it felt a little more secluded. That was particularly nice for keeping the dogs from barking too much. The restrooms were also really clean and well maintained. Trails and canoe/kayak rental options were wonderful as well! Would definitely come back again!

5 Star Rating   May 3rd, 2015   Great Camping so close to the Metro
We spent a quick weekend at Wild River and will definitely be back. The campsites are all mostly private - even the electric ones! Lots of trails. The walk to the river is fun. Probably our new favorite of the ones near the Cities along the St Croix.

4 Star Rating   July 27th, 2013   Great camping and hiking
I love Wild River. Campsites are mostly private, albeit a huge campground. Hiking is plentiful, but stay off the horse trails unless you want to be ankle-deep in sand and, well...you know. Be sure to hike down to the river. There is an awesome sandbar where you can have a great picnic lunch. Bathroom and shower facilities could use an upgrade. Nature center is nice and there`s an awesome open field with seating to view the stars or Northern Lights, if you`re lucky. Great state park and one to put on your list.
