The only provincial park on Highway 17 between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, Chutes is an excellent stopover for travellers and a base to explore the North Channel of Lake Huron. Situated on the Aux Sables River, the park gets its name from a chute that once diverted logs around the waterfall. Follow riverside nature trails to see rapids upstream.

3 Star Rating   August 20th, 2015   Super spot
We stayed for 6 days. Most campers seemed to be 1 night stopovers. A small and well kept park. Great staff. Good trails. Good swimming. Lots of day trips in the area.

Tips: -pick a site # in the 90`s so that you can hear the falls
-take a day trip to Agnew Lake lodge and rent a boat for the day - $85 worth every penny!
-veer off the beaten path for great blueberry picking

Just off the trans Canada highway and an easy walk into Massey this park has the most beautiful hiking spits you`ll ever see. Sites are large under large pines for the most part.
