This park is great! The Lakeview Campground is a sardine can - stay away if you like solitude when your camping. Stay in the Oakridge campground instead - the sites on the outside of these loops are well spaced and well shaded. Bring your bikes to enjoy the paved bike trail and explore the park. We stayed in October, but the swim beach looked nice and clean and I'm sure this would be a fun park to stay at in the summer. We chose this park because of the naturalist programs and it's close proximity to the cities - we were there in under 2 hours.

When I was younger my parents used to take us kids to Sibley often. I was excited to go back and see it again. However, I have to say I wasn't all that impressed. We stayed in the Lakeview Campground and it didn't feel much like camping. We had to set our tent up on gravel and the sites were so packed together I felt like we were camping at a rock concert. The Oak Ridge campground is much more wooded but also has some sites that are more like being in a prairie. The army worms were extremely bad. They do have a sandbox for the kids, a beach area, and a fishing pier, but no playground. There is a nice interpretive center and some outdoor shows which was fun. Mt. Tom is the main attraction of the park which is a hill you walk up and has an overlook. Sibley is an old park and the people working there were nice, but I'm not sure I'd go back any time soon.
